BHAGAVAD GITA 5.29
sarva-loka-maheśvaram
suhṛdaṁ sarva-bhūtānāṁ
jñātvā māṁ śāntim ṛcchati
1) Receiver of all sacrifices
2) Controller of all
3) Friend of all beings
…your mind will be naturally at peace.
SO, REMEMBER HIM ALWAYS AS…
RECEIVER OF ALL SACRIFICES
God is like the fire, which consumes all sacrifices and efforts from our side. He is the true doer of everything, the only true enjoyer and final receiver of everything. He reminds you here, that nothing really belongs to you and result of no action depends on you. When you remind yourself of that, and offer each of your actions to Him with love and devotion, your mind automatically stops to hang so much on the results of your actions, which gives your mind a sense of freedom and peace. When you truly realise, that only the Divine acts at all times, and you assume the position of curious Observer, not only your mind starts to be more at peace, but you really start to perceive the Divine being present in every life situation.
SUPREME CONTROLLER
If you truly recognise, that this Divine Spirit is the Supreme Controller of all the worlds, all beings and all life circumstances, and that He is in control of every single detail of your life at all times, this great truth itself has the power to set your mind free. When you recognise that it is God behind every person and every life situation, this is when the mind stops to resists and fight back, and becomes much more accepting and surrendered. It becomes not only much more at peace with reality, but also much more appreciative for God’s unique Divine plan for your life, understanding that nothing happens without a reason. Everything happens for you to grow.
DEAREST AND CLOSEST FRIEND
Even if you remember Him as the Receiver of all sacrifices and Supreme Controller, your mind still won’t be at peace, until you remind yourself that this Supreme Force is at the same time… your dearest and closest friend. He is closer to you than your breath itself. He is dwelling at the very core of your heart. He knows each of your thoughts and wishes, even before you realise them – and He is your greatest well-wisher, too. And that means, that every life situation, every person and every experience He sends you is only out of His love for you and for your highest good – for you to advance, to progress and to learn something. And if you only remind yourself frequently of this Divine Friend being always by your side, your mind will be automatically at peace.
