The Moon & the Vessel of Our Mind
Today, on this auspicious day of Akshaya Tritiya, when Sun and Moon shine simultaneously exalted in the sky, we are also beginning with the module dedicated to the Moon or Chandra during our “Journey with the Navagrahas” Course.

As per Vastusutra Upanishad, Chandra, the Moon-god, was traditionally depicted with a bowl (patra), which represents his power of prana-shakti or the ability to nourish life.
The symbolic vessel of the Moon is the receptacle of our mind, which we are filling either with nourishing or malnourishing thoughts and experiences. And that same container can become a symbolic akshaya patra, or the vessel that never diminishes and constantly overflows, if we will keep filling it with remembrance of the Divine, gratitude, compassion and love.
My Gurudev, Paramahamsa Vishwananda, wrote beautifully today:
“Love from the bottom of your heart so that the true Akshaya Patra, the never-ending pot of unconditional love within your heart, is constantly overflowing. Your joy, gratitude, and love should be felt to their fullest and more within you, so that they can naturally overflow to others. The world itself is benefited by the presence of people who are genuinely happy and grateful for everything in their lives.”
You can still join the “Journey with the Navagrahas” or, if you want to learn only about the Moon, you can purchase the module dedicated to Chandra in Vedic Astrology separately.
