Chakras In The Sky & All Planets in Uttarayana Rashis

One of the most amazing ways to look at what type of energy are the upcoming periods going to bring us is by superimposing the nine planets unto our chakra system - our inner universe. Because something as simple as changing perspective often brings new insights.

Important Transits

Both the planets and the zodiac signs have been assigned to the chakras they resonate with in our energy body by the great kriya yoga master, Sri Yukteshwar Giri (Guru of Paramahansa Yogananda). The transiting grahas activate different types of energies within our chakras, opening different opportunities and life lessons with every movement.

For example, this entire transit of Rahu and Ketu is calling us to align our head with the body, the purpose with embodiment, the insight with practice – as Rahu is occupying zodiacal root chakra (sidereal Aquarius) and Ketu is occupying zodiacal third eye chakra (sidereal Leo). Every one of us experiences this in our own unique way through our own unique life lessons.

In addition to that, since 17 March (and all the way until 11 July), when all planets aligned on one side of the zodiac and in between Rahu and Ketu (regardless whether we choose to call it Kala Sarpa Yoga or not), something unique is happening in our sky. These are not just planets randomly aligned in one side of the zodiac – these are all planets (apart from wandering Moon) occupying exclusively Uttarayana Rashis, or ascending signs, where energy is moving up the zodiacal chakras – which makes this time particularly pregnant with spiritual energy and potential to move upwards.

Although the Rahu and Ketu component can create frictions (especially in these halves of the lunar month where Moon is also squeezed in between the nodes with all the other planets), we are not just being presented with challenges at the moment – but also with a real opportunity to transcend them and bring a shift into our lives. All it takes from us is a little bit of willingness and dedication to our spiritual practice.

It is as if this period is asking us: do you choose to focus on the drama (the challenge) or on your growth?

~

Below you can find all the periods during which Moon was and will be dwelling in between the nodes together with all other planets – in other words, the periods during which all of the planets are occupying Uttarayana or ascending Rashis:

• 17 March – 30 March

• 14 April – 26 April

• 11 May – 23 May

• 8 June – 20 June

• 4 July – 11 July

~

Note the dates are approximate and there may be 1 day difference in your timezone. You can track these periods accurately converted into your timezone in our Vedic Calendar.
