  • Astrology Through the Archetypal Eye

Meet renowned archetypal astrologer Dr Laurence Hillman, who invites us in this class to explore astrology through the archetypal eye. Rather than asking, “What will happen?”, archetypal astrology opens up a different kind of inquiry: What energies are present? What story is unfolding? Which archetypes are asking to be recognised and lived more consciously?

Drawing on mythology, psychology, and the rich symbolic language of astrology, Dr Hillman will introduce a way of looking at the birth chart—and at life itself—that is imaginative, dynamic, and deeply meaningful.

During the class, there will also be an opportunity to ask questions and interact with the teacher. You will have lifetime access to the recording.

Come with curiosity, questions, and a willingness to see astrology through a different lens.

  • Kashyapa Hora Prashna

Add a powerful tool to your astrology toolkit: learn to read Prashna charts from the Hora lord and find the answers that every moment already holds.

Rooted in the Nadi tradition of Kashyapa Hora, this unique technique of reading Prashna charts weaves together a few simple, yet powerful principles, including some of the fundamental laws of Bhrigu tradition.

The foundational premise of Kashyapa Hora is simple: every Prashna chart is read from the Hora lord, the planetary ruler of the hour during which the question was asked.

“Every moment already has an owner. Nothing needs to be constructed, because the sky has already done the construction. The question arrives; the planet holding that hour is the seat of the enquiry; the reading begins.”

    – William Lawrence

The technique itself reached modern students through the late Prof. R.G. Rao of Bangalore, who worked directly from the palm leaves, consulted the older Nadi astrologers, and brought the method into print in English in 1996 as Kashyapa Hora based on the Nadi system. Today you have a chance to learn it from William Lawrence, and see for yourself how beautifully the method works in practice.

  • Practical Astro Cartography

A birth chart operates differently when we move from one place to another. Its planetary pattern remains the same, but different parts of that pattern become more prominent in different locations. Astro Cartography places the birth chart upon the map of the world, revealing where particular planetary energies may become stronger, more visible or more personally significant.

When you first look at an Astro Cartography map, its many planetary lines can appear complex. Yet the purpose of the map is profoundly practical: to understand how location may influence the way a person experiences career, relationships, creativity, family life, personal growth and other important areas of life. The real skill lies not merely in identifying a line, but in interpreting it in the context of the whole birth chart and translating it into meaningful guidance.

  • Shunya Dosha – Combination of Emptiness

Shunya Dosha is a fascinating phenomenon in Vedic Astrology. It is one of those secret, yet simple techniques, which gives you a deeper insight into some parts of yourself and often explains why certain Rashis or Nakshatras in your chart fail to deliver their results, even if at first glance everything looks perfectly fine.

Shunya Dosha is when a certain sign or Nakshatra becomes “empty” or “fruitless”, and it is always induced by either the tithi you were born at or the lunar month your were born in – even though the influence of those two is not always the same. Shunya Dosha in vast majority of the charts becomes at least to a certain extent alleviated by other planetary placements – yet it never remains without a meaning. Sometimes it is there to indicate to you that this part of life is simply not a part of your karma or destiny in this lifetime. And sometimes it points to you that you need to make some extra effort for this particular part of your life to work or become balanced.

  • Purnima & Amavasya

Full Moon and New Moon days always trigger some deep purification processes within us. Depending on the place in the zodiac they occur, their nakshatras and conjunctions, sometimes this process of bringing all processes to completion might be smooth and fulfilling, but often it turns out to be very intense and deep, which can make us easily irritated or impulsiveness. Full Moon and New Moon days are perfect timings for spiritual practice and deep introspection, but due to their intense energy they are not necessarily supportive for making important life decision or starting anything.

Goddess Citra represents the final stage of the journey of the Goddess: reaching the fullness or return to nothingness; complete light or complete darkness; unison or perfect octave – which are, in their essence, identical. The bright light of the Full Moon symbolises the highest octave of any colour; while the darkness of the New Moon symbolises all colours merged back together into the primordial darkness. The brightest shade of any colour is white. The darkest shade of any colour is black. Similarly, on Full Moon and New Moon day everything unites and dissolves, so something new may be born.

  • Chaturdashi Tithi

Chaturdashi tithi inspires us to let go of all the things that stand between us and our goals. It helps us to move forward in life and rise above our limitations and inner and outer obstacles, so we can move closer to fulfilment. Yet, sometimes it can make us also overly impatient, impulsive, self-centered and inconsiderate on the path towards our goals.

Goddess Jwalamalini, “garlanded with flames”, is the most intense of all Nitya Devis, which is revealed by Her standing position. Ruling the fourteenth lunar day along with Venus, standing in the circle of flames, and being connected to fourteenth kala of the Moon, angada (“self-sacrifice”), Goddess Jwalamalini represents the last stage of the Goddess before reaching fullness on the Full Moon day or union on the New Moon day: the stage of complete self-sacrifice and burning the ego in the flames of the Supreme Love. Goddess Jwalamalini represents fire of devotion, which is so intense that it burns all the karma. Interestingly, both tithis co-ruled by Venus are very strongly connected with our ability to sacrifice ourselves for the higher purpose – as, ultimately, this is exactly what Love is: a sacrifice of our own ego.
